Story of RMG logo
The image of RMG changed throughout the years and went at the same pace as the transformation of our company, producer of high-nickel aluminium bronze, bronze for bearings, low-lead sulfur bronze, and bismuth brass ingots.
Suffice it to say the evolution of our logo cannot be considered only as a graphic modernisation, but each of its phases stands for significant moments for RMG, a refinery of non-ferrous metals used for producing bronze, aluminium bronze, and special brass ingots.
Let’s see briefly the story of our company logo.
1961
Raffineria Metalli Guizzi was initially incorporated as “Fonderia leghe speciali non-ferrose di Guizzi & C.”. Back then, there was no need for an actual logo.
Then, when our company took its current name, the first logo RMG was designed. It was made with red colour to resemble that of casting, the core process of our production of brass and bronze ingots.
1997
In 1997 the identity of Raffineria Metalli Guizzi underwent its first modernisation. At this stage, RMG increased its care for the environment and industrial sustainability consciousness even more: the company logo became the emblem of this attention by changing to green colour. Furthermore, the monogram took the shape of ingots.
2011
To mark its 50th anniversary and to celebrate 50 years of experience in the production of copper-based alloys, Raffineria Metalli Guizzi opted for red and returned to the original colour. Even though there was a throwback to the first colour, the new shape designed in 1997 was preserved.
2021
In 2021, the 60th anniversary of RMG, our company changed its image and communication approach, opting for a conservative restyling of the logo. Though the essence of the initial identity remained intact, it was enclosed in a new monogram fully reflecting our product both in shape and colour. The new shade of bronze and the ingot shape make RMG more recognisable in the industry.
