Environmental management: Certification ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is a certification which garantees the environmental managment and the environmental sustainability in our company.

Let's take a closer look at a business aspect related to the environment; what is UNI EN ISO 14001?

It is the Italian translation of the international standard ISO 14001. Like corporate quality, the environment is also subjected to international certification through a series of useful  'rules', which aim at managing those company activities that may have a potential environmental impact.

Furthermore, this standard focuses on environmental protection thus requiring companies to:

  • Set goals which should always take environmental protection into account;
  • Continuously improve their own environmental performance, by evaluating and planning the opportunities and risks;
  • Prevent emergency situations with a potential impact on the environment and reduce waste of energy and resources;
  • Properly manage legal documents, such as permits, registers, transport documents, and have an effective environmental communication system.

What is the importance of being certified for environmental protection?

The ISO 14001 certification represents a commitment to the environment, which is essential especially in a historical period such as the present one. Suffice it to say that the latest version of 2015 highlights the topic of sustainability and shows a real intention of reversing the increasingly worrying trend of climate change. Thus, companies are required to look for innovative and efficient solutions.

RMG is devoted to environmental protection and this is why we continuously improve our Environmental Management System. Thanks to this commitment to sustainability, we have been certified ISO 14001 since 2004.
