Herein we’ll reintroduce the topic of the Preferential Origin of goods.

As seen in the previous news concerning this issue (11th March 2019), the Preferential Origin of goods is a crucial point for exporters.

Tracing the European origin of products is not always as easy as it is believed. Usually it is necessary for the company to contact its suppliers to verify whether the used materials actually have a European origin or not and, when possible, to even get an origin declaration by the supplier which can be used at customs to declare the origin.

Attention must be paid as a superficial check of origin requirements could lead to serious mistakes when custom declaring, with ensuing consequences.

As regards copper alloys, such as bronzes, aluminum bronzes and manganese brass, for example produced by R.M.G. Raffineria Metalli Guizzi S.p.A., the law in force provides for that those alloys must be produced starting from “copper scrap”. Therefore, we can issue a proper declaration to our customers and can get the certificates at customs.

The supplier’s declaration can refer to a single supply or it can be a long period report, valid up to 2 years.

In order to get the declaration, you should just request it at sales@rmg.it, including the type of declaration you are requesting, the product list and the States, which will be in the list. After internal checks, we will be glad to send you the requested declaration.
